What is Asset Vault?
Asset Vault is a private home-inventory app for iPhone. It helps you photograph and catalog your belongings — with values, serial numbers, warranty dates, and notes — organized by property and category, so you're prepared for insurance claims, moves, or estate planning. Your inventory syncs securely across your signed-in devices.
How do I add an item?
Tap the + button, take or choose a photo, and fill in as much or as little detail as you like. You can optionally use the AI features to identify an item from its photo or scan a receipt to pull in the details automatically.
How does the AI scanning work, and what does it cost?
When you tap to identify an item from a photo or scan a receipt, that single image is sent to our AI provider to extract the details, then the result is returned to you. These features are optional and only run when you tap them. New accounts include a number of free AI uses. After that, a one-time "Unlock unlimited AI" in-app purchase removes the limit for good — there's no subscription.
I paid for the AI unlock but don't see it on a new device.
Purchases are tied to your Apple ID. On the new device, sign in with the same Apple ID and use Restore Purchases (on the unlock screen) to bring your unlock back. If it still doesn't appear, email us and we'll sort it out.
I forgot my password.
In-app password reset isn't available in this version yet — it's coming in an update. In the meantime, if you're locked out, email us at assetvaultprivacy@gmail.com and we'll help you regain access.
The "scan a room" (AR) feature isn't showing up.
The AR room-scanning feature requires an iPhone with a LiDAR sensor (iPhone 12 Pro and later Pro/Pro Max models). On devices without LiDAR, the option is automatically hidden — you can still add items normally with photos.
How do I export my inventory?
Use the in-app Export inventory PDF feature to generate a dated report of your assets — handy for sharing with an insurer or keeping an offline copy.
How do I delete my account or my data?
You can edit or delete any item or property directly in the app. To delete your entire account and all associated data, email us at assetvaultprivacy@gmail.com and we'll remove everything within 30 days.
Is my data private?
Yes. We collect only what's needed to run the app, never sell your data, and never share your inventory with insurance carriers. Your records are protected with row-level security so only your account can access them. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
